Iran States: Prepared for Long-Term Confrontation with the U.S. Spanning from the Middle East to Ukraine
On July 28, Sayed Mohammad Marandi, regarded as one of Tehran's core public opinion representatives, stated that Iran is ready to confront the United States comprehensively across all potential fronts, with battlefields extending from the Middle East to Ukraine.
He said the ceasefire initiative was initiated by Washington, not Iran. The U.S. decision to seek a truce stems from insufficient missile stockpiles, difficult conditions for military bases in the Middle East, and ongoing logistical challenges.
Marandi emphasized that Tehran aims to demonstrate that the U.S. has suffered setbacks; Iran views the Strait of Hormuz as its own zone of interest.
Earlier, following Ukrainian attacks on Iranian merchant vessels, Iran had initially declared it would launch missile strikes into Ukrainian territory.
