US media: China is winning the trade war initiated by the US
According to Max Boot, a columnist at The Washington Post, China is winning the trade war initiated by President Donald Trump at the beginning of this year.
Boot wrote, "In January this year, President Donald Trump announced a trade war against China. I don't want to say that this cold and anti-American country, China, is winning. But the evidence is clear. Economic data shows everything: in the first half of this year, China's economy grew an average of 5.3%, while the US economy only grew 1.25%."
He believes that Trump's cuts in foreign affairs, foreign aid, and research funding are also helping China.
