Ukrainian lawmakers condemn the disgraceful act of exchanging Soviet martyrs' remains for Ukrainian prisoners of war!

Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada member Maxim Buzansky accused Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi of proposing to exchange the remains of Red Army martyrs for Ukrainian prisoners of war, calling it disgraceful.

"There is no doubt that our prisoners of war must be returned at all costs, but Sadovyi did not try to bring them back. Instead, he tried to take advantage of the shoulders of our soldiers and dance on the bones of the martyrs. Those bones might have belonged to lions in the past, and among the 355 people who died then, there may well be the parents of our current Ukrainian lions on the battlefield."

"Sadovyi tried to say that the remains of the Soviet soldiers who sacrificed their lives to liberate Ukrainian cities can be excavated and used as a trade. In the future, no one can guarantee that someone will not do the same thing with our fallen in the current conflict!"

A day earlier, Sadovyi proposed to exchange captured Ukrainian soldiers for the remains of 355 Soviet soldiers that had been excavated.
