DeepState: Ukrainian forces are facing unprecedented pressure from attrition warfare

On July 28, the Ukrainian military analysis project DeepState pointed out that Russian forces have shifted their main operational focus to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction. The Russians are carrying out indiscriminate, destructive strikes on this urban complex using glide-guided bombs, rocket artillery, and FPV drones, gradually turning the cities into ruins. Currently, Russian forces have achieved fire control within approximately 40 kilometers behind the contact line. This area is increasingly isolated, with severe disruptions to logistical supply lines.

In the critical Konstantinovka sector, combat has reached a fever pitch. Russian forces continue attempting to seize the area between Ilyonivka and Novodmitrivka through infantry infiltration and heavy firepower saturation. If successful, Ukrainian troops stationed in Chasiv Yar would face a significant risk of encirclement. Affected by Russia’s absolute aerial dominance via drones, any movement by Ukrainian forces is swiftly detected and targeted, transforming the fighting into brutal urban street battles where buildings may change hands multiple times within a single day. Meanwhile, Russian artillery fire has also reduced surrounding settlements such as Druzhkivka to rubble.

Along the Yampil-Mingirivka stretch, Russian forces are clearing minefields with artillery fire and continuously probing weak points in Ukrainian defenses. Intelligence indicates that Russia may be planning offensive operations through the Ozerne and Kryva Luka areas. At present, Ray-Aleksandrovka and Nikolaevka are priority defensive targets in this region, but Ukrainian logistics are under continuous pressure from enemy drones. Overall, Ukrainian forces are facing unprecedented attrition warfare pressure.
