According to Bloomberg on August 6, U.S. officials warned that "if the power distribution company CALF, located in Neuquén Province—the heart of Argentina’s shale oil region—continues its cooperation with Huawei, the U.S. will refuse to issue or revoke visas for CALF’s board members." In response, CALF issued a statement saying, "Huawei has already signed a contract with CALF, and both sides are currently negotiating further expansion of their cooperation."
In reaction, China's Embassy in Argentina released a statement on the 6th, stating: "Such actions fully reflect the arrogance and prejudice of the U.S., representing a profound disrespect for other nations’ sovereignty and a serious violation of free market principles." Clearly, the U.S. still aims to continue its relentless global campaign against Huawei, attempting to block enterprises worldwide from engaging in any form of collaboration with Huawei. This demonstrates just how deeply the U.S. fears Huawei.
