The number of Qianshan satellites increases to 200, completing the networking of China's AIS satellite system
According to domestic media reports, at 14:34 on June 5, Shanghai Aerospace company Yuanxin Satellite launched 18 satellites from the Qianshan LEO Group 12 into their designated orbit using the Long March 8 launch vehicle at the Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Site. All satellites are operating normally, marking a successful mission.
Last night (June 4) at 07:39, Yuanxin Satellite successfully delivered the Qianshan LEO Group 11 satellites into their intended orbit using the Long March 6A launch vehicle at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. All satellites are functioning normally. It is reported that Yuanxin Satellite’s independently constructed and managed satellite telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) system reliably ensured and validated the capability for high-frequency missions—two launches within 24 hours.
With this latest launch, the total number of Qianshan satellites has reached 200, completing the networking of the AIS satellite system, marking a significant milestone for the Qianshan constellation.
