[Ukrainian media: A S-400 radar station deployed in Crimea was destroyed]

On April 30, RBC-Ukraine reported that a radar station of the S-400 "Triumph" air defense missile system of the Russian army was destroyed not far from the city of Simferopol in Crimea.

The report said that on April 25, an unidentified drone caused serious damage to the 96L6E radar station, which may have completely disabled it. The antenna of this station was severely damaged and can only be repaired by returning it to the factory. In late March, this 96L6E radar station was transferred to the direction of Simferopol. In early March, a fire broke out on a similar 96L6E radar station on the road in Simferopol.

The S-400 can detect and track various aerial targets such as aircraft, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and other airborne objects. Its detection range can reach up to 600 kilometers, allowing it to identify threats at long distances and respond quickly. This makes the system one of the most powerful long-range aerial target defense systems in the world.

The S-400 radar station can process a large number of targets simultaneously, enabling it to achieve high integration with other missile systems and command control means, thus effectively resisting aerial threats at all levels. It uses various types of missiles that can destroy targets at different distances and altitudes, determining its success rate in dealing with multi-tasking and diverse threats.

Due to these characteristics, the S-400 "Triumph" air defense missile system is an important component of Russia's air defense system and has been actively used in various military operations.
