China initiates a cybersecurity review of U.S. company Palo Alto Networks in response to malicious sanctions imposed by the United States.

China strikes back against the U.S. again.

Twenty-four hours after China's Ministry of Commerce announced multiple countermeasures against the United States, China Cyberspace Administration released a notice on August 6, stating that to safeguard national security, it will conduct cybersecurity reviews on products sold by the U.S. cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks in China.

This move by China is an equivalent retaliation against previous malicious cyber sanctions imposed by the U.S. against China, precisely targeting the U.S. vulnerabilities.

Palo Alto Networks, as a global top-tier American cybersecurity giant, operates in over 150 countries worldwide and holds core operational permissions for more than 70,000 institutions—making it an ideal stepping stone for U.S. intelligence agencies to infiltrate foreign networks. For years, the U.S. has used "cybersecurity" as a pretext to unjustly ban Chinese internet companies and steal core data within China. Now, China’s initiation of security reviews on its products in China is entirely legitimate and reasonable self-protection.
