Nationwide surge!
Canada sets record with 7.3 million people voting early over four days!
Data released by Elections Canada on Tuesday showed that the number of early voters in this federal election has set a new record high.

According to preliminary data released by the agency, approximately 7.3 million people cast their ballots during the four-day early voting period (which coincided with the Easter long weekend and ended on Monday).

Conservative Party Issues Ultimatum: Massive Tax Cuts + Layoffs!
Eight Major Policy Proposals Unveiled!
Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, unveiled his government plan on Tuesday, promising significant tax cuts, reducing the size of the government, and fulfilling his political promises, including cutting foreign aid, laying off external consultants, and defunding the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) among others.
However, this series of measures will result in a fiscal deficit gap of 14 billion Canadian dollars over the next four years, with a deficit of 31.4 billion Canadian dollars in the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

The policy outline was released on the party’s website and went online before Poilievre answered questions from reporters.
The policy also includes a new commitment: "No new or increased federal taxes can be introduced without a national referendum."
According to the policy outline, the projected deficits over the next four years are as follows:
- 2025-2026: 31.4 billion Canadian dollars
- 2026-2027: 31.5 billion Canadian dollars
- 2027-2028: 23.6 billion Canadian dollars
- 2028-2029: 14.2 billion Canadian dollars
The policy includes revenue sources such as the cancellation of clean power regulations and carbon taxes imposed on industries and households as part of the "definitive" income sources.
Poilievre Pledges to Cut Deficit by 70%:
Through Reduced Government Spending and Boosting Economic Growth!
Poilievre stated that his plan would cut 70% of the "Liberal deficit" through reductions in "bureaucratic agencies, consultant spending, and foreign aid to dictators and terrorists," while halting funding to various special interest groups.
He claimed that this would "release an additional 500 billion Canadian dollars in economic growth," particularly through accelerating housing construction and resource development.
The policy outline is titled "Change," and outlines eight major plans:
1. Reduce the lowest personal income tax rate by 15%
From 15% to 12.75%. This means an ordinary worker earning 57,000 Canadian dollars annually can save 900 Canadian dollars in taxes, and a dual-income household can save 1,800 Canadian dollars.
2. Expand TFSA
Allow citizens to contribute an additional 5,000 Canadian dollars per year to tax-free savings accounts (TFSAs), provided the funds are invested in Canadian companies.
3. Strong Military Plan
Spend billions of dollars to build three Arctic military bases, purchase new reconnaissance aircraft, and commit to increasing defense spending to 2% of GDP by 2030 to meet NATO standards (currently 1.37%, i.e., approximately 41 billion Canadian dollars per year).
4. Build 2.3 million new homes
And implement the previous proposal to exempt federal sales tax (GST) on homes priced below 1.3 million Canadian dollars.
5. Expand Drug Addiction Support
Provide free drug addiction treatment for 50,000 people.
6. Cut Consultant Spending
Reduce external consulting fees by 10 billion Canadian dollars over the next four years.
7. Streamline the Federal Government
Cut bureaucratic agency expenditures through layoffs and other measures.
8. Reduce Foreign Aid
Cut Canada's annual foreign aid budget of approximately 12 billion Canadian dollars.

Canadian Finance Minister Responds:
Conservative Party Manifesto "Short-Sighted",
Liberal Party Chooses to Invest in the Future!
François-Philippe Champagne, finance minister of the Liberal Party, criticized the Conservative Party's manifesto as a "short-sighted document" and defended the manifesto released by the Liberals last Saturday.
The Liberal plan includes 129 billion Canadian dollars in new spending and 28 billion Canadian dollars in unspecified cuts.

He responded to journalists by saying: "You will see that the world has changed, but Poilievre has not. The gene of the Conservative Party is to cut, the gene of the NDP is to raise taxes, while we choose to invest – real investments that can improve the lives of Canadians."
Poilievre:
If the Liberals continue to govern,
Canadians Will Lose Hope!
Poilievre warned using a government internal report released by the Privy Council Office (PCO) in January. The report proposed a possible scenario indicating that Canada's social mobility continues to decline and may bring serious challenges by 2040.
The report states: "Currently, most Canadians still believe in equal opportunities, but this belief may change. People may lose faith in the 'Canadian project.'" The report emphasized: "People's beliefs are as important as reality."
Poilievre used this to warn that if the Liberals continue to form a fourth consecutive government, Canadians may face a future of collapsing beliefs.
Regarding the manifesto released by the Conservative Party, netizens of Chinese descent engaged in intense discussions:
"This shows that the Conservatives will do things for the common people! Unlike the current ruling party, which constantly shouts slogans and promotes buying domestic products to win votes! Think about it, do we have products? Can we live normally relying solely on Canadian goods? We need someone to root out the current corruption completely! Make Canada great again!"
"Ordinary people need practical livelihood policies, not the false, grandiose, and empty promises of the Liberals. It's time to reduce bloated and inefficient bureaucracies; they are all parasites and channels of vested interests. Canadians are suffering, while bureaucrats and politicians enjoy themselves. Letting the Liberals continue to spend money to expand bureaucracies will exhaust Canadian citizens, and Canada will no longer be a country, inevitably becoming the 51st state of the United States!"
"The most shocking: No new or increased federal taxes can be introduced without a national referendum." This actually requires a two-thirds majority approval in Congress. It's just his attitude."
"No new or increased federal taxes can be introduced without a national referendum. Support the Conservatives. Unlike the Liberals, who just increase taxes whenever they need money."
"PP has lost. The economy is declining, what matters is that voters see your investment plans to stimulate the economy."
Conservative Party's Last "Move"
Misses Optimal Publicity Timing
The Conservative Party was the last major party to release its campaign manifesto. The timing of the release was after the end of the early voting period during the Easter long weekend, and some analysts pointed out that this strategy might have missed the opportunity to "expand influence" during family gatherings over the holidays.

Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party, said: "What we are taking over is a very large Liberal deficit." He cited data from the Parliamentary Budget Office stating that the baseline deficit for the 2025-2026 fiscal year is 46.8 billion Canadian dollars, which is the starting number used by all parties during the election campaign.
Poilievre stated that he plans to use the proceeds from countervailing tariffs to support his promised large-scale tax cut plan and alleviate the pressure on businesses and workers caused by Trump's US-Canada tariff war.
"What I promise is to redistribute this money to Canadians through tax cuts and targeted assistance for affected industries."

He reiterated that the Conservatives had promised a 3 billion Canadian dollar loan program to help businesses weather the impact of the trade war.
However, some measures popular among conservative supporters in Poilievre's manifesto have very limited impact on boosting federal fiscal revenues.
For example, canceling what he calls the "Liberal gun confiscation initiative" would, according to the Conservatives, save only 541 million Canadian dollars, while the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) previously estimated the total cost of the program to be 756 million Canadian dollars.
In addition, the Conservatives estimate that canceling the Liberal proposal to expand the scope of capital gains taxation would save 12.6 billion Canadian dollars over four years, while the PBO previously estimated that it could generate 17 billion Canadian dollars in tax revenue over five years.
