Lamborghini Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested by Tokyo Police
Japanese police announced the formal arrest of Liu Changran, a Chinese national driving a Lamborghini involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident on the morning of February 8th.
Liu Changran drove the "Lamborghini" and collided with a police car that was handling an accident on the Tsukiji Bridge Expressway, causing injury to the police officer. There was also a woman in her twenties injured in the Lamborghini, who had just met Liu that day. Liu abandoned the injured person and fled. It is said that he admitted the charges.
The two injured police officers were a 51-year-old police inspector and a 49-year-old assistant inspector, who suffered fractures to their necks and buttocks.
The Lamborghini first collided with a taxi in front of it, and then hit a stopped police car. It was snowing at the time, and the Lamborghini did not use snow tires.
The accident caused eight vehicles to be involved in a chain collision. The woman in the Lamborghini was sitting in the front passenger seat and suffered a pelvic fracture.
The accident left four people, including the suspect Liu Changran, seriously injured and three people lightly injured. Liu told investigators: "I was also injured, so I went to the hospital." He said his ribs were fractured, and after walking away, he went to the hospital.
The suspect turned himself in at the Tsukishima Police Station around 8 p.m. on the 8th.
