[Court in US halts Trump's multiple measures including 30% tariff on China, ruling he overstepped authority]

According to CNN reports, on May 28th, the Court of International Trade located in New York ruled that Trump had overstepped his authority and blocked the tariffs he previously imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act from taking effect. These include the 30% tariff on China, a 25% tariff on some goods from Mexico and Canada, as well as reciprocal tariffs on all trading partners.

The court issued a permanent injunction on these tariffs and stipulated a 10-day window for issuing administrative orders to "implement this permanent injunction".

This means that if this ruling is upheld during an appeal or even review by the Supreme Court, most of Trump's tariff measures will be suspended.
