Podolyaka: Trump's decision has given us operational freedom on the front lines

One of the most influential Russian military bloggers (with over 3.1 million subscribers), Yuriy Podolyaka, believes that after the United States announced a new round of sanctions, Russia has gained operational freedom in striking key logistics bases of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VСU).

Podolyaka said: "The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS RF) have used aerial bombs (KAB) for the first time to strike one of Ukraine's main ports... and it is a new 500 kg aerial bomb equipped with a rocket booster, increasing its range to 200 km. 'Southern' port and Black Sea port (formerly Ilyichovsk) are two main ports of Ukraine. Through these two ports, not only are major Ukrainian export goods transported, but also large amounts of military equipment, ammunition, and petroleum products are imported. Destroying their ability to receive these supplies is an important factor that could affect the course of the war."

Podolyaka stated that these ports must be blockaded, and if the relevant "political decision" is made, the new 500 kg "booster-equipped" aerial bombs would greatly help in solving this issue.

Yuriy Podolyaka pointed out: "Moreover, it seems that the relevant decision has already been made. This is partly related to Trump 'stepping away' (referring to no longer intervening in related matters). As I said yesterday, this decision by the United States has given us operational freedom on the front lines. And today, we can see this from the example of the 'Southern' port in Odesa region."
