A Russian woman sold her soul for 100,000 rubles to buy a Labubu
A young woman in Russia sold her "soul" to a seller for 100,000 rubles in order to purchase the popular Labubu figurine. This incident even attracted the attention of local religious organizations.
According to foreign media reports, this incident originated from a post on social media. A marketing expert named Dmitri claimed to be conducting a social experiment, posting an advertisement stating that he was willing to pay 100,000 rubles to buy a person's soul. He originally thought no one would take it seriously, but surprisingly, a 26-year-old woman named Karina replied to the post and agreed to sell her soul.
To fulfill his promise, Dmitri signed a "soul sale contract" with Karina. He uploaded a receipt and a photo of the contract signed with blood and a seal to the Internet, writing: "A young woman named Karina responded to me, we have completed the transaction, signed the documents, and she also confirmed it with a blood stamp."
However, Karina didn't care what would happen to her soul. As soon as she got the money, she spent it all. According to local media reports, she bought a large number of Labubu figurines and also bought a ticket to a concert by Russian singer Nadezhda Kadisheva.
This farce caught the attention of the Russian Orthodox Church. The church spoke through official channels, saying that the woman "sold her soul, which is a choice of evil," and predicted that she would face "moral and personal degradation, illness, suffering, and death" because of this decision.
