Russian State News Agency, Moscow, January 22 - Deputy Prime Minister Novak stated that in 2025, Russia consumed about 522 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equivalent to the total consumption of China and India.
In a signed article for the "Energy Policy" magazine, Novak said: "In the field of natural gas, we also pay attention to the domestic market. Russia's natural gas consumption in 2025 is approximately 522 billion cubic meters, which is equivalent to the total consumption of China and India, more than three times the total consumption of Southeast Asia, and 1.5 times that of the EU."
According to Gazprom data, in 2024, Russia's natural gas consumption increased by 5.2%, reaching 521.5 billion cubic meters.
