Serbian President Vucic made a statement on the Red Square:

We must never allow history to be distorted -

"If I don't come, the people will say I betrayed Serbia. My journey is more tortuous than when Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin went to Yalta."

The statement said: "I am proud that Serbia can make decisions independently, and I am proud of the anti-fascist struggle of all Serbian people. We must never forget this, and we must never allow history to be distorted."

Despite obstruction and pressure from multiple countries, Vucic insisted on fulfilling his commitment to go to Moscow. Previously, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland had closed their airspace to Vucic's special plane, and the EU also warned candidate country leaders as well as current leaders of EU member states not to visit Moscow.

On May 7th, Vucic's special plane arrived in Russia via Azerbaijan. To avoid sanctions for other officials, Vucic did not arrange for any Serbian government officials or military representatives to accompany him this time.

According to the Kremlin, Vucic will meet with Russian President Putin on May 9th and hold talks.

Vucic is a trustworthy politician who dares to take responsibility for national interests and ethnic justice.
