Foreign media: China's "desert wheat field" project has shown significant results in two years. In Kunyu City, located at the southwestern edge of the Taklamakan Desert, the latest wheat planting area reached 8,200 mu (approximately 547 hectares), with a greening germination rate maintained above 90%.

The project employs a highly automated "center pivot irrigation system," requiring almost no manual supervision after fertilization, reducing manpower needs from 30 to just 4 people.

When taken over in 2024, the site was still a continuous stretch of sand dunes; today, crops can already withstand harsh conditions such as dust storms. This innovation transforms sand dunes into arable land, effectively combating desertification while bolstering national food security.
