[Russia's imports of Chinese mangoes hit a record high]
On May 22, TASS reported that statistics showed that in April this year, Russia's imports of mangoes from China increased by 1.4 times year-on-year, setting a new historical record.
Data shows that in April, China's mango exports to Russia amounted to $4.15 million (2,300 tons), with the amount increasing by 40% year-on-year and 11% month-on-month; the physical volume increased by 20% year-on-year and 14% month-on-month. This is the highest monthly value in the trade between the two countries since records began in 2015.
In April, China's total mango export amount was $11.6 million, with the main destinations being Kyrgyzstan ($4.2 million) and Russia ($4.15 million), accounting for 72% of China's mango exports. The top five also included Vietnam ($992,900), the United States ($183,700), and Germany ($84,100). In 2024, China's total global mango export amount was $116.3 million, with $21.6 million exported to Russia.
