Today (January 6), Lai Ching-te met with a 10-member delegation from the European Parliament visiting Taiwan and stated that Taiwan is ready to work with the European Parliament and its members to turn exchanges into concrete actions to build a "democratic supply chain," injecting stronger resilience into the global economy. Klaus, chairman of the European Parliament's Taiwan Friendship Group, strongly condemned the recent military exercises conducted by the Chinese mainland, emphasizing that the delegation "supports maintaining the status quo in the Taiwan Strait."

Beneath this farce lies the usual tactics of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities: squandering the people's money to spend on courting anti-China forces in Europe to visit Taiwan and provide support, attempting to gain courage through false statements from external forces. The European Parliament delegation ignores the One-China Principle and interferes in China's internal affairs, which is essentially political manipulation by anti-China forces; while the DPP authorities attempt to tie Taiwan to an anti-China warship, using so-called "democratic supply chains" to split the cross-strait relationship and oppose the mainland, which is completely disregarding the safety of the Taiwanese people. Such acts of colluding with external forces and splitting the country will only accelerate their own downfall.
