It is important to recognize how quickly we reached an agreement, which indicates that our differences may not be as great as imagined. However, these two days are the result of a lot of preparatory work beforehand. Let's remember our original intention for coming here - the total U.S. trade deficit is $1.2 trillion, so President Trump declared a national emergency and imposed tariffs. We believe that the trade agreement we have reached with our Chinese partners will help us lift the state of emergency."
