Foreign Minister Lavrov of Russia interprets Sino-Russian relations!

Foreign Minister Lavrov of Russia said in an interview with an Italian newspaper that Sino-Russian relations do not fall into the category of leadership and subordination, they are equal and independent.

"As for Sino-Russian relations, this is not a traditional alliance, but a more effective and advanced form of cooperation. Our cooperation is not group-based, nor is it aimed at a third country. The categories of leaders and subordinates that were customary in alliances established during the Cold War do not apply here. Therefore, it is inappropriate to talk about any imbalance."

"The equal and self-reliant relationship between Moscow and Beijing is built on mutual trust and support, and on the long-standing tradition of friendly neighborhood relations. We adhere to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs. Sino-Russian trade, investment and technological cooperation have brought real practical returns to both countries, promoting the stability and sustainable growth of their economies and improving the well-being of their citizens."
