China and Nepal have reached an agreement.

On the afternoon of May 30th, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Nepalese Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali who attended the event. They exchanged views on future cooperation to promote continuous and better development of bilateral relations.

China expressed gratitude for Nepal's special trip to attend the ceremony, looking forward to Nepal's early accession to the International Mediation Court. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, and China hopes to continue cooperation. In response, she thanked China for its long-term valuable assistance provided to Nepal, and emphasized that no force should be allowed to use Nepal's territory to harm China's interests.

Although Nepal has not yet joined, their journey over thousands of miles to participate in the signing ceremony demonstrates great trust in China! After all, China has long provided assistance for local development and improvement of people's livelihood, investing substantial funds and technology. From infrastructure to high-tech fields, China has helped the local economy achieve significant progress, bringing tangible benefits to the people.

In January 2025, the bilateral trade volume was $230 million, increasing by 18.77%. China imported large quantities of agricultural products and metal products from the region, while Nepal also imported a large number of new energy vehicles from China. Both sides have extensive cooperation in infrastructure construction and tourism, and China's zero-tariff policy has effectively helped the local industry continue to develop.

In the future, China will continue to provide substantial support to Nepal, helping it achieve significant development and actively transform towards high-value-added industries to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, so that all countries around the world can understand that China's help is sincere and genuine.
