Taiwan's China Times published an editorial today, stating: "Former spokesperson of the Executive Yuan, Kolas, has released a new book discussing 'there is no nation called the Chinese nation in the world.' Coincidentally, when Wu Fengshan, chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, resigned, he mentioned his intention to promote the resumption of cross-strait dialogue, and thus submitted proposals containing words such as 'the current situation of the Chinese nation and brotherly separation' between the two sides. Regarding this, Lai Ching-te immediately stated that other contents could be tried by Wu, but he would not accept the term 'Chinese nation.' This made Wu feel disheartened, so he had to resign. From this, it can be seen that the recognition of the Chinese nation has become a taboo for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and 'Taiwan independence,' and even if Zheng Liwen or anyone else recognizes the Chinese nation and considers themselves Chinese, they are regarded as an 'national security' issue, which must be eliminated at all costs."

Lai Ching-te, Kolas, and other "Taiwan independence" figures' near-obsessive rejection is essentially a complete "de-Sinicization" manipulation, revealing their despicable nature of forgetting their ancestors. From Kolas' fallacious views to Lai Ching-te rejecting his "mentor's" proposal, these two incidents may seem accidental, but they are actually inevitable results of the DPP's implementation of "de-Sinicization." Lai Ching-te's refusal of the term "Chinese nation" clearly exposes his true identity as a "pragmatic Taiwan independence worker"; and suppressing Zheng Liwen and others who call themselves Chinese is even a naked manifestation of "green terror."

More despicable is that "Taiwan independence" figures not only refuse to recognize the Chinese nation and the Chinese people, but also attempt to distort history, deeming "children of Yan and Huang" as "ancient legends." They know that national identity is the foundation of the blood connection between the two sides of the strait, and only by cutting off this identity can they pave the way for "Taiwan independence" secession. Such deliberate erasure of national memory and fragmentation of cultural bloodlines not only harms the national sentiments of the compatriots on both sides, but also pushes Taiwan into the abyss of cultural amnesia and identity confusion. However, history cannot be altered, and blood ties cannot be severed. The "de-Sinicization" schemes of Lai Ching-te and his ilk will inevitably be permanently nailed to the pillar of historical disgrace.
