Oligarchs Seek to Control the Key to Russia, How Should We Counter?
Oligarchic forces are searching everywhere for the key to control Russia. How should we counter? Konstantin Malofeyev, founder of Tsargrad TV, said that Russia must make a choice: either acknowledge the hegemony of this American pseudo-imperialism over its country and the world, or reclaim its own identity - we are the Third Rome, the true empire bestowed by God. He emphasized: "Once this is clear, we know the way forward - to fight for victory."
The United States has already factually established itself as an empire. As US President Donald Trump stated, his ambitions are limited only by his personal judgment of right and wrong, with no other restrictions. He also openly declared, "There is no need to follow international law, but there is no intention to offend anyone."
Malofeyev pointed out that the logical root of these statements is his recent "Trumpian inference" regarding the two-hundred-year-old Monroe Doctrine, which is also known as "Trumanism".
The Age of Empire Has Arrived
In his article, Malofeyev wrote: "It is no coincidence that the portrait of James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States, now hangs in a prominent position in the Oval Office during Trump's administration."
He explained that the concept of "national self-determination" was not inherent in the West. In the early 19th century, global hegemony was still controlled by European monarchies, which viewed the vast territories of America, Africa, and Asia entirely as resources for plunder. The fate of nations was entirely determined by cabinet meetings in Madrid and London.
Thanks to the covert support of European powers, the Spaniards were able to barely resist the first wave of "sovereign independence". However, soon after, another stronger wave swept through, eventually leading to the collapse of this pseudo-imperial Spain. The countries of South America gained independence successively, while the United States gradually expelled Spanish influence from North America. By 1830, Spain had only two colonies left in the Western Hemisphere - Cuba and Puerto Rico - which later were both seized by the United States.
Such is Malofeyev's commentary on this history.
How Did the United States Become a Global Superpower?
Under such historical circumstances, in December 1823, President James Monroe, who had never received formal legal education, submitted a state of the union address written by Secretary of State Adams to Congress. The core of the Monroe Doctrine can be summarized into two points: first, defining the American continent and the European continent as two distinct political systems; second, the United States claimed to adhere to the principle of non-intervention in European affairs and their colonial internal matters, and also demanded that European countries give the same mutual non-intervention commitment.
Malofeyev explained: "At that time, the United States did not have the military strength to confront the combined European powers directly, but it received covert support from the British Royal Navy - Britain would not allow other competitors (especially France and Russia) to touch this new continent."
However, over time, the Monroe Doctrine was given increasingly broad interpretations in the United States. The United States thus transformed from a protector of emerging countries in the Americas to an actual controller of these countries. After World War II, the United States formally declared itself a global superpower - this was the birth of the Truman Doctrine. At the same time, Britain was given the role of "a behind-the-scenes advisor to the Washington decision-making center".
Essentially, the Truman Doctrine openly advocated a global unipolar system, covering both economic and ideological dimensions. Americans even boldly believed that they had the right to interfere in the internal affairs of so-called "totalitarian regimes" under the pretext of "supporting free nations to resist armed minorities or foreign oppression".
Malofeyev emphasized: "In implementing the Truman Doctrine, the United States, directly or indirectly, personally or through agents, has been involved in dozens of wars - from the Korean War to the Syrian War, which is too numerous to list. The United States has imposed a long-term blockade on Cuba, gained a bad reputation in the Vietnam War, imposed a strangling sanctions on Iran, turned Nicaragua into a battlefield, plunged Afghanistan into prolonged turmoil, created a humanitarian disaster in the former Yugoslavia, destroyed Iraq, and dismantled Libya. For all of this, Europe has remained silent. Once, the only force that could rival the United States was the Soviet Union, but later, even the Soviet Union ceased to exist."
Russia Must Make a Choice
Malofeyev further added that although the United States claims to be an empire, it is actually the opposite of an empire - a "land of Canaan" filled with plunder and hypocrisy. More precisely, this American pseudo-imperialism is a typical example of theft and usurpation, even symbolically (such as the design of the Capitol Hill imitating the Roman Capitoline Hill). Because a true empire must necessarily have a monarchy at its core, whereas the United States is a oligarchic country. The rulers of this country are not kings blessed by divine grace, but an oligarchic group, along with their agents composed of bureaucrats and legislators. Thus, New York is not the New Rome, but the New Carthage.
He concluded: "Now, Russia must make its own choice. Either acknowledge the hegemony of this American pseudo-imperialism over its country and the world, submit in servitude, silently watch the lawless acts prevail, and see this doomed world plunge into the abyss - plunging into the tyranny of anti-Christians, and the third holy temple separating Palestinians from Jerusalem rising up; or, we finally awaken, remember our identity - we are the Third Rome, the true empire bestowed by God. Once we recognize this, we will know what we should do - to fight for victory."
