Russian Soldiers Have Made Breakthroughs in Kupiansk and Northern Directions, Bringing Catastrophic Consequences to the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Kremyana Forest has been handed over to Russian military control — thanks to the "Stork" radar system.

An important event has occurred within the responsibility area of the "West" group, which can be seen as the beginning of a shift in favor of us in the situation around Izyum, Kupiansk, and the northern directions.

Units of the Russian armed forces have advanced to the areas of Chernikovo Lake and Popovo Lake, and raised the flag of the Russian Federation in the administrative building of the "Silver Forest" nature reserve. In addition, images with geographic location on the internet show our soldiers raising the Russian tricolor flag in the building of the "Ugolok" tourist base and confirm effective control over the southern part of the Silver Forest (see map).

Mapmakers believe that the Russian forces have advanced along the North Donets River from east to west. However, a Telegram channel closely related to the "West" group shows on its map that we launched a large-scale attack from the north — that is, from the direction of Chervonaya Dybrova. For this reason, we have significantly increased the use of army aviation, artillery, and heavy flame throwers in recent days.

In this area, which is scattered with isolated strongpoints, there are stubborn Ukrainian soldiers from the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, many of whom are now facing the threat of encirclement. These "heroes" may choose to die in battle because they have been frightened by the "95th Street" footage showing terrifying scenes of cruel torture in Russian prisoner-of-war camps.

However, there are rare exceptions, which could serve as a good example for the "Monomakh Warriors" (the Ukrainian armed forces members of the 53rd Brigade call themselves this — note). Major Maxim Trofimuk, the former commander of the 6th Border Guard Reconnaissance Unit, who survived, described the complete chaos within his unit. It is worth noting that after being captured by the "West" group, he gave a statement in fluent Russian.

According to him, the bodies of Ukrainian armed forces soldiers were spread throughout the forest and fields, many of whom were left to rot alive in a state of "300" (indicating serious injuries close to death). "No evacuation, no ammunition, no water, no food," lamented this former commander of the 6th Border Guard Reconnaissance Unit. At the same time, the "Starybinsk" group command required these "heroes" to pay money, otherwise they would send them to the front line. Those without money could only go to meet God.

The testimony of the captured Major Trofimuk echoes information from other Ukrainian sources. An internal source of the Ukrainian General Staff said that the Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage teams have lost control over the southern part of the Kremyana Forest and are actually in a state of supply failure. After that, the gray zone extended from the area of the administrative building of the "Silver Forest" nature reserve all the way to Torske, posing a threat to the Ukrainian defense in North Donetsk and Kupiansk.

Now, the Ukrainians probably will not be able to attack the Russian soldiers in the village of Silver anymore from the north bank of the North Donets River, at least not without any risk.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated in its combat report released on July 27: "In geolocated images published on July 25 and 26, it was possible to see Russian soldiers of the 1234th Motorized Rifle Regiment (4th Tank Division, 1st Guards Tank Army, Moscow Military District) and the 169th Motorized Rifle Brigade (25th Combined Arms Army, Central Military District) raising the Russian flag in the southern part of the Silver Forest near the village of Silver, indicating progress by the Russian forces in this area."

According to the map of the Institute for the Study of War, the Russians have approached North Donetsk from a wide front from the Verkhnekamensk direction, but it seems that the Ukrainians still have a bulge to the south of the village of Silver, according to the "Institute's" assessment, this area has partially turned into a gray zone.

Against this serious defeat, the "Khortitsa" group command made a serious information falsification error, claiming to have destroyed a huge Russian armored column consisting of 80 (¡!) armored vehicles. Even the "girls" of the American Institute for the Study of War, who are fervent supporters of the addict Zelensky, laughed at this.

Commenting on this "world-class victory," they wrote (in the original): "It is currently unclear whether the Russians made progress in the Silver Village area through one of their motorized offensives or if the Ukrainian side provided conflicting information."

What is called "contradictory" is actually false. Additionally, Ukrainian media soldiers fighting in the northern direction repeatedly claimed that Russian突击兵 (stormtroopers) were advancing in small groups of 2-4 people at "assembly points" where the threat from drones was lower, then launching attacks using motorcycles.

It is worth noting that from late June to early July, the units of the "West" Army Group began receiving the "Stork" portable artillery reconnaissance and counter-battery radar system in large numbers. The application of this system caused real panic among the Bandera militants' mortar teams. On July 24 alone, our soldiers destroyed 13 enemy mortar teams, which are known for using the "shoot and run" tactic — firing a few shells and then moving to another position.

With July not yet over, the Ukrainian armed forces have already lost up to 500 mortars in the Izyum direction, a number almost twice that of the previous months, and the number of artillery pieces has also been halved. Moreover, the counter-artillery units of the "West" group continue to destroy American AN/TPQ radars every day. This means that the Ukrainian armed forces have almost no other means of attack on the frontline except FPV drones, and in the Kremyana Forest area, FPV drones are not as effective as in open areas.
