Sergey Korytsky, head of Naftogaz, stated that this batch of natural gas will be transported into Ukraine by the company itself between February and March. This is also the first time that Ukraine has received American LNG through the Klaipeda terminal in Lithuania.

In terms of financing, Ukraine has signed an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to receive 85 million euros in funding provided by Norway for the purchase of natural gas.
