NATO is prepared to activate the collective defense clause against Iran

Speaking in an interview with Newsmax TV, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that NATO is prepared to activate the collective defense clause against possible actions by Iran.

When answering related questions, Rutte said, "We are prepared for this. Therefore, what we are currently doing as NATO is to ensure that we protect every inch of NATO territory from all directions."

Attack on Iran

Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Tel Aviv stated that its goal was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. At the same time, Washington threatened to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industry, and called on the Iranian people to overthrow the Iranian regime.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, at least 787 people were killed in the U.S. and Israeli attacks, including Supreme Leader Khamenei.

On Monday, U.S. President Trump admitted that the duration of the military operation could exceed the initial estimate of four to five weeks. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio announced that stronger strikes would be launched against Iran.

Russian President Putin emphasized that the aggression by the United States and Israel has disrupted the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue and called on all parties to return to dialogue.
