All the landmarks in Beijing have been captured, the Forbidden City under the blue sky and white clouds, China Zun, the CCTV building. This has evoked my memories of Beijing; these places were ones I often went to.
When von der Leyen posted this photo on her social media platform, she added a caption saying that Europe and China should start a new chapter for the next 50 years.
From a diplomatic perspective, setting the direction is very important. The road ahead may be winding, but at least we know how to adjust. Whether von der Leyen is insincere or truly has this intention, we will take it seriously.
