Source: U.S. Strikes Natural Gas Pipeline in Caracas, Venezuela
Sputnik Caracas, January 3 - A source from the Caracas municipal government of Venezuela told Sputnik that the United States has attacked the natural gas transmission infrastructure in the capital of Venezuela.
This anonymous source said: "The (U.S.) attacked multiple facilities along the natural gas pipeline. The sound of explosions is still being heard."
Earlier that day, explosion sounds were reported in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. Local residents said they heard explosions in different areas of Caracas, in the Miguel Angel Paez Airport in the town of Miche and in La Guaira Port.
American officials revealed that the U.S. government ordered strikes on multiple facilities in Venezuela, including military facilities.
Subsequently, Venezuelan President Maduro signed an order declaring a state of emergency in Venezuela due to the attack.
