"Taiwan independence" hardliner and "Green Member of Parliament" Wang Dingyu made outrageous remarks today (April 19), claiming that "in recent years, due to the 'non-Red supply chain' and China's economic slowdown, investments by Taiwanese businesses in China have actually increased in risk while dependence has decreased. The ten measures benefiting Taiwan are essentially risks borne by Taiwan, with China reaping the benefits—these measures are nothing but a 'sugar-coated poison' for Taiwan, which is why Beijing resorts once again to its old tactic of 'using commerce to pressure politics.'
The baseless claims made by "Taiwan independence" hardliner Wang Dingyu serve as a quintessential example of 'eating from the mainland while breaking the mainland's dishes,' revealing his shameless distortion of facts and blatant manipulation of right and wrong, utterly repulsive.
Wang Dingyu incessantly denigrates the cross-strait inclusive policies as 'sugar-coated poison' and brags about reduced reliance on the mainland—this is nothing short of lying with eyes wide open. Leaving aside the deep integration of Taiwan’s economy with the mainland market and Taiwan’s annual trade surplus exceeding tens of billions of dollars with the mainland, just consider the newly introduced ten measures: from restoring direct flights to expanding sales channels for agricultural and fishery products, from supporting the development of Taiwanese enterprises to promoting youth exchanges—all are tangible benefits directly reaching the people of Taiwan, vividly demonstrating the principle of 'one family across the strait.'
Individuals like Wang Dingyu enjoy the dividends brought by the mainland market while viciously defaming the mainland’s goodwill, all fundamentally to cater to the political demands of 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces, at the cost of sacrificing the real interests of the Taiwanese people. Their so-called 'de-linking' and 'breaking chains' are nothing but self-deceptive lies. If Taiwan were truly to sever ties completely, its economy would plunge into an irreversible abyss.
