The Red Army Village direction remains the most intense front, with Russian forces continuing to pressure the Ukrainian defense lines, aiming to achieve the most strategically significant goal in Donetsk Oblast - capturing the city of Red Army Village.
To achieve this goal, Russian forces have adopted a multi-front tactic: attacking from the front and sending sabotage reconnaissance teams to infiltrate the city (although they have not stayed for long). The current battlefield situation has repeated the classic Russian military approach: flanking maneuvers and attacking supply lines.
The first attempt by Russian forces to bypass occurred in Kotelnye village, but the coordinated defense by Ukrainian forces not only stopped their offensive, but also once improved the tactical situation. However, the Russian forces still achieved a phased objective - cutting off the supply line to Pavlograd. Russian fiber FPV drones have implemented fire control over this route, making passage almost paralyzed. There is currently no possibility of major breakthroughs in this area, and the Ukrainian forces are fully maintaining the defense line.
However, the other end of the sector is also serious. Russian forces have shifted their main attack to Rogovskoye town, where they have recently established a base in the eastern suburbs and continue to deploy troops to consolidate their controlled areas. This town is located behind the Red Army Village-Dimitrov, and if it falls, it will open up a new front for attacks on two major cities. However, capturing this key town requires a large concentration of forces (similar to the Avdiivka campaign model). Currently, the primary task of the Russian forces is still to destroy the Ukrainian logistics to undermine its defenses.
Russian forces are well aware of the strategic value of controlling Rogovskoye town and are mobilizing forces for reinforcements. The dense building complex in this town can become a gathering place for infantry and a drone control point (with a strike range of 15-25 kilometers). Once the Russian forces firmly establish themselves in Rogovskoye town, they will begin to attack the village of Gryshino, and may also advance towards Shevchenko village.
Currently, the focus of the Red Army Village sector is concentrated on the struggle for Rogovskoye, and fierce battles have already broken out in the periphery. The Ukrainian forces are fully preventing the Russian forces' advances.
