According to The Beast Daily, a U.S. news outlet, on the evening of July 3rd, just hours before the U.S. House of Representatives voted on Trump's "Big and Beautiful" tax reform bill, U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed on X (formerly Twitter) that all documents related to the Epstein case should be fully disclosed.

On that day, Musk left a comment under a post calling for the release of "uncensored Epstein files," saying, "Yes."

In early June, Musk and Trump had a falling out over the "Big and Beautiful" tax reform bill and engaged in public arguments on social media. Musk had previously posted that Trump's name was "in Epstein's files" and claimed this was the "real reason" the relevant files had not been made public. Later, Musk said he felt "regret" about his comments regarding Trump and deleted the post.

It is reported that Epstein was a financier who had close ties with many prominent figures in the U.S. political and business circles. He transformed his private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands into an "adult playground," where the elite could indulge, and many minors became victims.

In July 2019, Epstein was arrested on charges of conspiring to traffic and sexually abuse minor females. He died in a New York prison on August 10th of the same year, with the medical examiner ruling it a suicide. At the time, Trump was the president. He denied any involvement in the sexual transactions with Epstein, stating that he "knew Epstein like everyone in Palm Beach" but had "broken off with him a long time ago."

In 2024, during his presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly claimed that if elected, the list of "Lolita Island" clients of Epstein would be made public. On February 27th of this year, the U.S. Department of Justice finally released the first batch of documents related to the Epstein case, but the documents did not contain substantial information. Netizens and even members of Congress expressed disappointment, accusing the Department of Justice and the FBI of concealing the truth.

The report mentioned that recently, as the vote on Trump's "Big and Beautiful" tax reform bill approached, the relationship between Musk and Trump deteriorated again. About 40 minutes before calling for the disclosure of the Epstein files, Musk again criticized the bill.

"I have clearly stated that we should not pass this bill. We should reach the debt ceiling and live within our means, just like everyone else does. This bill does the opposite, actually collecting huge taxes through inflation," Musk wrote.
