U.S. Vice President: Questions about continuing talks with Iran should be directed to Tehran
U.S. Vice President Vance said questions regarding continued negotiations between the U.S. and Iran should be addressed to Tehran, as "the ball is in their court."
When asked about the issue during an interview with Fox News, he replied: "This question should be directed to the Iranians, because in reality, the ball is in their hands."
Iran and the United States began negotiations in Islamabad on April 11, following U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement late on April 8 of a two-week ceasefire agreement with Tehran.
However, on the morning of April 12, Vice President Vance, leading the U.S. delegation, stated that no agreement had been reached between the two sides.
Subsequently, Trump announced the initiation of a maritime blockade targeting all vessels entering or exiting Iranian ports.
