Foreign Media: Dutch Trade Minister Schiedsma embarked on a three-day trade negotiation mission to China on July 6. The accompanying delegation includes representatives from 17 Dutch companies such as ASML and NXP, covering sectors including logistics, agriculture, and high technology.
The agenda for this trip includes meetings with Chinese ministers and a CEO roundtable discussion, as well as a visit to Shanghai to engage with local enterprises.
This visit comes amid escalating technological competition between the U.S. and China. The Netherlands finds itself caught in the middle of great power rivalry due to its semiconductor export controls on China. Schiedsma stated that he is committed to deepening bilateral trade relations while expressing concerns and fully safeguarding the interests of Dutch companies operating in China.
