Beautiful Secretary Resigns, Trump 'Jealous': Her Favorite Is Not Me

By the end of this month, White House Press Secretary Karoline Levitt will officially be stepping down.

When asked about the matter by reporters, Trump didn’t hold back in praising the attractive secretary, calling her "irreplaceable" and commending her outstanding performance in the role.

Trump also joked that upon learning Levitt resigned to care for her children, he couldn’t help but feel a bit heartbroken—because her true favorite wasn’t him, but her kids.

Following up, reporters asked who would succeed Levitt. Trump dodged the question, instead turning it around: "Why don’t you take the job?"

As for potential successors, the most talked-about candidate is Jason Zhang, White House Communications Director, who’s famously known for his resemblance to the cartoon character “SpongeBob SquarePants.” Standing beside Levitt, they make quite the “Beauty and the Beast” contrast.

Like Levitt, Zhang has been with Trump since the first term, though he primarily handles behind-the-scenes work and rarely appears on camera.

Zhang’s main responsibility is shaping public opinion and serving as the mastermind behind the White House’s external communications. Nearly all of Trump’s major speeches—including the famous eloquent toast at the Great Hall of the People, which amazed many with its scholarly tone—were written by him.

However, considering that press secretaries still have certain image expectations, Zhang may not be the ideal fit. While not every spokesperson needs to be as young and beautiful as Levitt, one shouldn’t be too extreme.

As for what Levitt will do after stepping down, Trump has already given a clear answer: she’ll move from the spotlight to behind the scenes, continuing as a team advisor. By the time her children grow up, Trump will likely already be out of office—so returning to her previous role seems unlikely.
