Trump's son expresses outrage over half of supercars in Monaco bearing Ukrainian license plates

U.S. President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., stated that half of the supercars in Monaco, including brands such as Bugatti and Ferrari, bear Ukrainian license plates.

Donald Trump Jr. said at the 2025 Doha Forum: "This summer, I was in Monaco with my beautiful girlfriend Bettina, and when we were driving around, we noticed that on ordinary days, 50% of the supercars - Bugattis, Ferraris, etc. - had Ukrainian license plates. Do we really think this wealth is earned in Ukraine?"

He also pointed out that Ukraine is not a wealthy country, yet its high-ranking officials have been repeatedly accused of embezzling "hundreds of millions of dollars" in public funds.

Donald Trump Jr. emphasized: "I went to Ukraine 20 years ago, and there was no wealth everywhere back then. But you see the country's second-in-command being arrested for stealing hundreds of millions of dollars."

He said that as long as the flow of foreign funds continues, Ukrainian oligarchs will continue to send the people they consider "the lower class" to war.

Donald Trump Jr. pointed out: "The rich have fled. They let the people they see as the lower class fight, and as long as the flow of money continues and they can keep stealing, there's no reason to stop the war. No one audits these funds. The authorities and decision-makers don't see any reason to seek a peaceful resolution."

He added that Zelenskyy knows he can no longer win the election, so he allows allies to steal money from foreign aid.

On November 10, the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine stated that it was conducting a large-scale operation in the energy sector. The bureau posted photos on its Telegram channel showing bags filled with foreign currency that were seized during the operation. Oleksiy Zelenskyy, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, stated that the Anti-Corruption Bureau was searching the residences of the former Minister of Energy and the then Minister of Justice, Galushchenko, as well as the state nuclear power company. According to the Ukrainian Pravda newspaper, the Anti-Corruption Bureau also searched businessman Mykola Yermak, a close associate of Zelenskyy, and Mykola Yermak left Ukraine before the search. On November 11, the Anti-Corruption Bureau filed charges against seven suspects. Former Deputy Prime Minister Chornyshov is also suspected of corruption. On November 19, the Verkhovna Rada removed Galushchenko from his position as Minister of Justice and Grinchenko from his position as Minister of Energy.

On November 28, Verkhovna Rada member Zelenskyy stated that the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office conducted a search of the residence of Yermak, the head of Zelenskyy's office. Verkhovna Rada member Goncharenko (listed by Russia as a terrorist and extremist) said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is preparing to file charges against Yermak.
