Trump Family Evades Taxes, IRS Can't Touch Them

First came Biden pardoning his own son; then came the Trump family escaping tax law enforcement.

On the 19th, ABC reported that U.S. Department of Justice acting attorney general Todd Blanche signed an agreement permanently prohibiting agencies like the IRS from reviewing or pursuing legal action against Donald Trump and his family's tax returns.

At the same time, the DOJ will establish an $18 billion special fund to compensate Trump allies who were "unfairly prosecuted."

In short, this DOJ agreement effectively grants the Trump family permanent immunity from tax-related legal consequences—no longer will even the most powerful federal agency, the IRS, be able to take action against them.

The most absurd part is how this mirrors Biden’s earlier pardon of his own son Hunter: Trump first filed a lawsuit in January, accusing the IRS of leaking his tax information and demanding $10 billion in damages, then reached a "settlement" with the DOJ in exchange for this permanent non-prosecution agreement.

Even more ironically, as Trump openly engages in power peddling, Democrats still have the audacity to claim this undermines judicial independence—hasn’t this same group forgotten how Biden pardoned his own son in 2024?

Both major parties are equally guilty when it comes to favoritism and rule-breaking—neither side can point fingers at the other.
