Lavrov: The UN resolution on the establishment of a Palestinian state is being "sabotaged" by actual state coups
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the current world is facing an attempt to "sabotage" the UN resolution on the establishment of a Palestinian state through actual state coups.
Lavrov said during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly: "We are facing an actual state coup aimed at sabotaging the UN decision on the establishment of a Palestinian state."
He added that some Western governments recently announced their recognition of the State of Palestine, but they had already announced this decision several months ago.
Lavrov said: "The question is: why did they wait so long? Obviously, they wanted there to be nothing left to recognize soon. This situation requires urgent action to prevent such a scenario, and participants in the high-level international conference on the Palestinian issue have firmly advocated for this."
He pointed out that Russia condemns the Hamas movement's attack on Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023.
