UK Warns: Over 100 Countries Pose Cyberattack Threats
According to Politico, UK intelligence agencies have warned that the country faces cyberattack threats from more than 100 nations.
As reported, the risk stems from countries that have already acquired the relevant technology and are capable of hacking into the UK’s infrastructure, enterprises, and private networks.
The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) stated in its report that the barrier to using hacker software is rapidly decreasing. Over the past two decades, the commercial market for hacking tools has evolved into a mature industry.
Previously, software like "Pegasus" and "Predator" was primarily targeted at dissidents, but in recent years, such tools have increasingly been used to attack senior executives of large corporations and financial sectors.
Intelligence data shows that the number of nation-state cyberattacks has doubled within a single year, with the vast majority originating from state institutions rather than criminal gangs.
