Our calls to Europe have gone unheard! Europe itself is still making mistakes. On July 11, according to foreign media reports, under the guidance of von der Leyen, the EU announced three proposals to de-risk China in the fields of chemicals, healthcare, and reserves. All three plans aim to reduce dependence on China's supply chain by strengthening trade defense, reshoring, and diversification. Von der Leyen claimed that the EU needs to focus on three priority areas regarding relations with China.

First, rebalancing the economic relationship with China. Second, de-risking. Third, promoting diplomatic efforts on global issues including climate. In the face of the differences between China and the EU, we recently clearly called on the EU to objectively view the bilateral economic and trade relationship, to reduce accusations and increase communication, to reduce protectionism and increase openness. However, Europe has completely ignored our calls, and such actions from Europe are obviously intended to further set up more trade barriers for our exports and decouple from us in the supply chain.

To be honest, during the process of dealing with us, Europe's mindset is becoming increasingly unbalanced. In the global market, European airplanes, traditional cars, perfumes, cosmetics, handbags, wines, and fashion are popular worldwide. Europe never considers itself to have overcapacity, but when it comes to our competitive new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, chemicals, and medical equipment, Europe immediately accuses us of overcapacity. How can this be justified?

It is obvious that Europe's own product competitiveness has declined relatively. Facing our products' growing competitive advantages, Europe does not acknowledge its own problems, but instead demands us to forcibly purchase, suppressing our exports through trade barriers. How can this be a way to conduct trade and economic relations? It is clear that if Europe continues to move backward in its relations with China, we will certainly firmly defend our own interests. It is inappropriate for Europe to deal with us from a position of superiority, and Europe must adjust its mindset when dealing with us.
