Speaking at a forum in Miami, Trump said: "You must have immense respect for what China has accomplished. Whether you like it or not, you must respect them."

Trump also confirmed his plan to visit China in May.

Previously, a White House representative told Reuters that Trump was scheduled to visit China from March 31 to April 2. However, later the White House spokesperson Levitt told reporters that the visit had been postponed due to the ongoing escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
