Deputy President Sara explains the issue of using pseudonyms to receive confidential funds!

Sara Duterte said yesterday that people should not believe the statements by members of the House of Representatives about the use of pseudonyms for the confidential funds of the Vice Presidential Office and the Department of Education, which is a normal rule of intelligence operations.

Sara said in an interview in The Hague, Netherlands: "This can be well resolved during the impeachment trial, so our lawyers are preparing and collecting evidence, and collecting written statements from witnesses they will submit."

The accusation of misusing 500 million pesos from the Vice Presidential Office and 112.5 million pesos from the Department of Education between 2022 and 2024 is part of the impeachment articles against Sara.

"I think it is wrong for everyone to take all the statements made by the members of the House of Representatives as truth or facts, especially the issue of pseudonyms, because there are rules in intelligence work, and you have heard that people who work in the intelligence sector say that pseudonyms must be used."

"It can be discussed specifically during the trial. I don't want to elaborate on the intelligence operations. We have an intelligence expert here, actually two, who will become our advisors, so let's wait for the trial. As I said yesterday, if there is no trial, then I will publicly answer, I just want to wait and see what will happen with the impeachment articles."
