Central Asia and Chinese Entrepreneurs Promote Digital Cooperation: Sign Contracts to Launch Projects
Baturov: Central Asian and Chinese Entrepreneurs Reach Consensus on Digital Cooperation
(Kazakhstan International News Agency) At the second "Central Asia-China" Business Council meeting, representatives from the business circles of the five Central Asian countries and China reached a consensus on promoting digital cooperation.
According to Raiymbek Baturov, Chairman of the "Atameken" Entrepreneurs Association of Kazakhstan, representatives from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as over 300 Chinese companies organized by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended this meeting. Prior to the forum, all parties had conducted thorough preparations on the cooperation issues.
"This is not a procedural meeting, not just a simple gathering where memorandums are signed, photos taken, and then everyone leaves separately. Most importantly, enterprises in Kazakhstan and the entire Central Asian region have already engaged in practical work with Chinese companies in advance. Today, not only has a cooperation memorandum been signed, but also some specific contracts have been implemented, and several projects have been launched. This forum also attracted participation from local administrative leaders and regional representatives. For us, the signing of contracts and their subsequent implementation are the greatest achievements of this meeting," Baturov stated.
It was reported that the chambers of commerce of various countries reached a consensus on advancing digital cooperation, and Kazakhstan's exploration in this direction as well as the national-level practical experience were introduced in detail at the meeting.
"I believe this is of great reference value for enterprises - they can not only understand investment fields but also obtain detailed analytical data. This also means that we will face a daunting yet highly responsible task in the future. Through this cooperative model, enterprises will have the opportunity to promote the implementation of specific projects," Baturov added.
He also pointed out that practical problems such as transportation logistics, "green channels," customs procedures, and certification remain bottlenecks hindering enterprise development. These issues not only affect the import of Chinese products but also limit the export potential of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries' goods entering the Chinese market.
"This is a critical issue that urgently needs to be resolved," Baturov emphasized.
The Friendship Bridge International Entrepreneurs Alliance also participated in today's event. The main goal of the Friendship Bridge International Entrepreneurs Alliance is to systematically and effectively attract investment for Kazakhstan and provide comprehensive support for entrepreneurs.
Secretary General Nurzhaulet Mamatkhan stated that such organizations will significantly impact the development of commercial relations between Kazakhstan, China, and other countries in the future. She also noted that the alliance will help first-time entrepreneurs familiarize themselves with local laws, regulations, and investment policies through consulting services.
