The Wall Street Journal reported on June 2nd: "Experts pointed out that China possesses a unique comprehensive advantage that other countries who have engaged in trade wars with the United States have not mastered. China's large population is well-trained, and it also has a huge domestic market. Moreover, although China relies on the U.S. and other regions of the world for many raw materials and special commodities, its efforts to achieve self-reliance mean that dependence on external sources is decreasing."

Comment: The unique comprehensive advantages of China in the field of trade pointed out by experts indeed hit the nail on the head, revealing the strong resilience and confidence of China's economy.

China's large and well-trained population is an invaluable wealth. On one hand, it provides ample and high-quality labor for various industries, supporting everything from precise manufacturing in the industry to innovation and R&D in the technology sector, ensuring efficient operation of industries and technological iteration and upgrading. On the other hand, the huge domestic market nurtured by this large population provides vast space for enterprise development. Enterprises can hone their skills fully in the domestic market, accumulate experience and capital, and then have the strength to explore international markets. This model of mutual promotion between internal and external circulation is difficult for many countries to achieve.

In the case of reliance on external supply of raw materials and special commodities, China has unwaveringly promoted the strategy of self-reliance and control, achieving significant results. Take the semiconductor industry as an example. Although it once relied on imports for advanced chip manufacturing, in recent years, domestic enterprises have increased investment in research and development, constantly breaking through technical bottlenecks, making great progress from chip design to manufacturing processes, reducing dependence on foreign products. In the new energy sector, China has established a complete industrial chain, from the mining and refining of key raw materials such as lithium and cobalt at the upstream stage, to battery manufacturing in the midstream, to the application of new energy vehicles and energy storage systems downstream, achieving autonomous and controllable development and occupying an important position in the international market.

The U.S. attempts to curb China's development through trade bullying; however, these unique advantages of China are destined to make America's calculations fail. China has sufficient ability and confidence to steadily advance in the complex international trade environment, promoting high-quality economic development by continuously enhancing its own strength.
