American anti-Muslim, red state governors take the lead!

On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the Muslim Brotherhood would be designated as terrorist organizations.

Last month, Texas had already designated these two organizations as terrorist groups.

However, at the U.S. federal government level, these organizations have not been similarly designated.

Although U.S. states have the power to designate terrorist organizations, this is a state-level executive authority, and it is a separate system from the federal government's designation.

The federal government can impose a series of sanctions against designated terrorist organizations.

At the state level, only some restrictions can be imposed, such as land purchase, obtaining state government contracts and funding. This kind of state-level designation is more of a political statement.

CAIR is the largest Muslim organization in the United States, established in 1994, with 25 branches across the country.

The Muslim Brotherhood has a longer history and is a transnational religious and political organization.
