Foreign Media: China has released new regulations on entry and exit management, explicitly stipulating travel restrictions for citizens deemed potentially threatening to national technological security; the new rules will take effect starting September 15.
According to the document, Chinese citizens who violate export control or technology import-export regulations, and whose actions may endanger industrial or technological security, could be prohibited from leaving the country; if a citizen engages in criminal activities abroad that harm national security or interests, they may face travel restrictions ranging from six months to three years upon returning home.
In addition, foreign nationals who submit false documents or make false statements when applying for a Chinese visa either overseas or at a port of entry may have their application denied, with a restriction period of one to five years.
