Korean Media: 16 Chinese Companies Enter the Global Top 100 Automotive Parts Suppliers, First Time Matching the United States!
On September 5, South Korean media outlet "Today's Finance" published an article stating that Chinese companies are accelerating their expansion in the global automotive parts market. As the industry landscape rapidly transitions toward the era of electric vehicles and software-driven automobiles, analysts point out that China is gradually capturing a larger share of the global supply chain, thanks to its vast domestic electrification ecosystem.
A recent list released by American automotive media outlet "Automotive News"—the "2025 Global Top 100 Automotive Parts Suppliers"—revealed that a total of 16 Chinese companies made the list, matching the number of U.S. companies for the first time in history. With Zhongchuang Zhiling, a manufacturer of electric vehicle drive motor components, entering the top 100 at rank 83, the number of Chinese firms on the list increased from 15 to 16.
Notably, Chinese companies leading in electrified components are rising rapidly. The world’s largest battery manufacturer, CATL, saw its revenue grow by 25% within just one year, climbing to become the third-largest automotive parts supplier globally. "Automotive News" analysis stated: "There are currently two other Chinese companies close to ranking within the top 100; they are likely to surpass American firms very soon."
Nine South Korean companies—including Hyundai Mobis ranked sixth—made it into the top 100, remaining unchanged from last year. With Chinese firms launching aggressive moves leveraging price and volume advantages, competition in the global automotive parts market is expected to intensify further.
