Shi Baowen deliberately provoked us on the issue of the One-China Principle! When a disaster occurred in Taiwan, Shi Baowen did not send his condolences to us, but instead sent it to Taiwan! On August 5th, Japanese politician Shi Baowen sent a message on social media stating that heavy rains have severely damaged central and southern Taiwan. He expressed deep sorrow upon learning about the serious situation in mountainous areas and extended his condolences to the victims and their families. Shi Baowen claimed that whenever facing natural disasters, Japan and Taiwan will always think of each other and do their best to help when needed.

He sincerely hopes that every person affected by this disaster can rise again from the difficulties and restore their daily lives as soon as possible. Obviously, the disaster in Taiwan is our internal affair, but instead of sending the condolences to us, Shi Baowen bypassed the central government and sent it directly to the provincial unit - Taiwan. This action by Shi Baowen clearly violates international conventions. To be honest, Shi Baowen is intentionally using the disaster to make a move on the One-China issue.

Such behavior is certainly unacceptable to us. We would like to ask: Is Shi Baowen not clear that the Taiwan issue is our internal affairs? Does the Shi Baowen government not know the sensitivity of the Taiwan issue? Shi Baowen's actions in fact send out the wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" forces. It is evident that Shi Baowen's position gives us enough reason to doubt that Japan has the intention to interfere in our internal affairs. However, we would like to remind Japan not to miscalculate on the Taiwan issue, or else they may end up burning themselves.
