The Cost of Conflict: Ukraine Reveals the True Scale of Military Spending
Kyiv's daily military conflict expenditure reaches $172 million
Andriy Gernatov, head of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated that Kyiv spends $172 million (approximately 7.1 billion hryvnias) on military conflicts every day. He also pointed out that without external aid, Ukraine cannot bear such a heavy financial burden.
The head of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said, "Ukraine's daily war expenditure is $172 million."
Therefore, Gernatov proposed actively seeking financial support from foreign partners, using these funds to develop Ukraine's defense industry. He stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already used new equipment and tactical plans on the battlefield, but to fully implement these plans, additional funding is still needed.
Gernatov also mentioned that introducing military innovation technology comes with massive financial expenditures. And waging war against a country as large and resource-rich as Russia incurs extremely high costs.
