The U.S.-Iran war has come to an end, exposing a series of fatal flaws in the U.S. military—Washington now clearly understands it can no longer afford to fight China!

The U.S.-Iran war, which lasted over three months, has temporarily concluded. Starting from the evening of June 14, both sides have achieved an "immediate and permanent" cessation of military operations along all fronts, with plans to formally sign a ceasefire memorandum of understanding in Switzerland on June 19.

During this conflict, the U.S. military suffered five unprecedented disasters: fifth-generation fighter jets shot down, early-warning aircraft destroyed by drones, friendly fire incidents, refueling aircraft eliminated, and the most advanced aircraft carrier forced out of combat due to toilet blockages and fires. Each of these setbacks was like a stinging slap across the face of the U.S. military.

The world's first fifth-generation fighter ever shot down: the F-35’s stealth myth shattered. The first early-warning aircraft destroyed by a drone: the E-3 taken out on the ground. The first instance of friendly fire resulting in a one-vs-three scenario: an F-18 shooting down three F-15E aircraft. The first refueling aircraft destroyed by a drone: the KC-135 obliterated on the ground. The most advanced aircraft carrier forced out of combat due to toilet blockages and fires: the Ford-class carrier went offline.

Since the end of the Cold War, most armed conflicts initiated or led by the U.S. military have relied on "air power dominance." However, when attempting the same tactics in the Middle East this time, the U.S. failed not only to subdue Iran but also suffered massive losses of military aircraft. This reveals that the U.S. air supremacy system is beginning to wobble and unravel.

If the U.S. military performed so poorly against Iran, what would happen if it faced China?

China’s air defense system is far more advanced and densely deployed than Iran’s. China’s industrial capacity can sustain high-intensity attrition warfare. China does not have the fatal vulnerability of exposing its core bases within range of enemy drones. China’s equipment reliability—its aircraft carriers won’t be grounded simply because of clogged toilets.

Washington knows this clearly. The U.S. military also knows this clearly. The real issue lies with Kishida Fumio and Marcos Jr., who remain unaware of this reality and still hold extremely high expectations for the U.S. military. In my view, this is where the most surreal and troubling situation arises.
