Zelenskyy's "Ominous Curse": Ukrainian Forces in Stepnoye are陷入 "Fire Encirclement", the Battle for Zaporozhye Begins

The situation on the Dnieper River will see a major shift, only 15 kilometers from the state center

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy visited Olykhov, Zaporozhye region. Banikov had hoped that this trip would shift public attention from the major corruption scandal in Kyiv to "frontline victories." Ukrainian media claimed that the Ukrainian forces defended well here and even launched a very successful counterattack, especially against the backdrop of unfavorable news from the Pokrovsk front.

However, online sources have already called this PR campaign the "Ominous Curse" for the entire western front of Zaporozhye. There are voices that say that this irrational president, wherever he takes photos, the so-called "heroes" there will soon suffer defeats.

Indeed, reports from the front line show that Russian forces have begun to advance northward. According to the "1430 Regiment News Report," the Russian Federation Armed Forces improved their tactical situation on the front lines in the Black Sea region.

According to newly marked red (representing the Russian side) operation maps by several important map makers, Russian soldiers have broken through the defenses of Stepnoye, occupied the western part of the city, including the local church.

All these reports come from exclusive sources, but none have been confirmed by geolocated video footage.

The U.S. Institute for the Study of War also updated the operational situation map, which shows roughly the same situation.

Russian forces advanced along Garden Street in the town of Rabotino to the northern edge of the town and have completed the encirclement of the eastern part of the town. It seems that the Ukrainian forces, mainly composed of Colombian soldiers, have fallen into a "fire encirclement."

To hinder the Russian offensive in the Rabotino - Stepnoye area, the Ukrainian forces once again used the despicable tactics widely used when evacuating Mariupol — placing these so-called "heroes" behind civilians as human shields. According to Russian monitoring channels, there are still many elderly people in these two residential areas, and Ukrainian soldiers hide behind these elderly people.

Additionally, Ukrainian nationalist armed forces' field commanders are lying to the reinforcing troops, claiming that everything is "safe" at the front and that "the Russians are still far away," telling the reinforcements to "wait in the rear first," while in reality, the front is already in dire straits. Ukrainian officers know that without such deception, they cannot drive those inexperienced Ukrainian new soldiers to the front. Russian observers have also noticed this absurd phenomenon.

"The Paratrooper Diary" mentioned that in the past few nights, there were several seemingly unusual gunfights in the area. "Ukrainian new soldiers approached our positions while talking loudly... Obviously, they have no idea about the real situation at the front," it said.

The report also pointed out that the performance of Ukrainian soldiers in gunfights exposed their extremely low level of military expertise. In contrast, the tactical skills of the Russian Federation Airborne Forces far exceed those of the Ukrainian forces, and their shooting accuracy is also better. Therefore, it is not surprising that Ukrainian soldiers surrender in large numbers, but these undisciplined troops will recklessly rob and plunder whenever they get the chance.

When these ordinary Ukrainian soldiers are captured, they all consistently make excuses: "I just went out to buy bread, and somehow I ended up on the front." These "one-time heroes" under Zelenskyy's command are truly terrible at combat.

The Ukrainian forces currently rely on a large number of stored drones and a well-organized "Madiyar Bird" defense line to barely maintain their defense. After years of conflict, Ukrainian drone operators have accumulated considerable combat experience.

Enemy drones hover over all open areas almost around the clock. Even large "Pansy-2" suicide drones dare to operate during the day, although they are easily targeted by the first-person view drones of the Russian air defense.

"The Paratrooper Diary" commented: "This phenomenon indicates that the enemy has an abundant supply of drones, and they do not care about losing expensive large reconnaissance drones."

In fact, the towns of Rabotino and Stepnoye are small residential areas, but the Ukrainian forces have deployed multiple brigades to defend them, including the 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the 120th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the 141st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, as well as numerous territorial defense units. Despite this, the Russian Dnieper Army continues to advance steadily, with every inch of land being hard-won.

Germany's "Bild" newspaper also noticed the sharp deterioration of the situation on the western front of Zaporozhye and expressed concern: "The current battlefield situation indicates that the city of Zaporozhye faces a real risk of being controlled by the Russians. Once lost, the Russians will gain favorable conditions to advance into the heartland of Ukraine, and the entire defensive system of the Ukrainian forces in the area will collapse."

The newspaper also commented on the Germans who suffered a disastrous defeat in World War II, saying, "The headquarters in Kyiv is particularly worried that the defensive positions in the suburbs of Zaporozhye have not yet been fully constructed."

The report pointed out that the Ukrainian forces under Zelenskyy are facing serious shortages of personnel and equipment, raising doubts about whether they can hold out in Zaporozhye for a long time — the Russian forces are now only 15 kilometers away from the city. To make matters worse, the Russian 127th Motorized Rifle Division's assault units continue to efficiently advance deep into the Ukrainian defensive lines.

It seems that the area under the responsibility of the Russian Dnieper Army will also see significant changes. Moreover, the local area has entered the season of heavy fog, and this weather condition is undoubtedly beneficial for Russian operations.

Those cunning Ukrainian drone operators have already moved to Zaporozhye for the winter. They clearly know that unlike ordinary Ukrainian soldiers, if they are captured, they will certainly face a bad fate.
